Why hams love it

Change bands and a regular dipole is the wrong length. Tune-A-Tenna fixes that with a motor. From the control head at your radio, you extend or retract the two antenna elements until they hit resonance for the frequency you're on. The result is maximum forward power with little or no reflected power, like having a dipole custom cut for every frequency you use, without ever leaving the operating position.

No tuner losses, no walking out in the rain to add clip leads, and no compromise antenna trying to cover everything at once.

Built by a ham who lived the problem. Creator Frank McGinley, WB4NWV, spent years as an Army radio operator with the 50th Signal Battalion (Airborne), re-cutting dipoles in the dark, in sleet, knee-deep in mud.
