What does CallMinder do?
It counts down to your next ID while you operate and can have your IC-7760 play your recorded ID from its Voice TX Memories when it comes due. ID Now, 73 and Reset are together in one window.
Does it ID in the middle of a transmission?
No. If an ID comes due while you are transmitting, it shows "ID DUE, unkey now" and beeps; the ID plays when you unkey.
What about slow group nets?
If your usual wait for your next turn could carry you past 10 minutes, it can give an early ID at the end of your current transmission.
Does it wait while the frequency is busy?
It is designed to wait while another station is talking (squelch open). It can't hear everything, so keep listening yourself.
Which radios and computers does it work with?
This edition runs only on the Icom IC-7760, on Windows 10 or 11, over a USB connection. Editions for other radios are in development; each edition is licensed for one radio model.
Is there any audio wiring?
No. The audio stays in the radio, so there's no audio wiring and no sound levels to adjust.
Does it connect to the internet?
At startup it may briefly contact unitedtechs.com to check for updates and serial validity. It sends your serial number and the software version, not your name, email, recordings, or logs. If the check can't be reached, it keeps working for 30 days after the last successful check. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I get a refund?
Yes: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase, extended to 14 days after troubleshooting is complete if you ask for help. See the Refund Policy and License Agreement.
Can I buy it now?
